Duties

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a U.S. facing equipment categories and suppliers through the following:
    • Determining equipment and support needs for various cross-functional projects that support the U.S. business strategy.
    • Completing necessary tasks to gather key supplier data (i.e. volumes, costs, product and service performance statistics, financial information, logistics for deployment, etc.)
    • Identifying supplier risks and formulating suggested mitigation strategies
    • Reviewing and approving vendor performance standards and measurements
    • Providing input into annual category management strategies with the Global Equipment Supply Chain teams.
    • Facilitating escalations on behalf of franchisees and other stakeholders
  • Development of skills to independently manage assigned categories and supplier relationships
    • Negotiation of pricing, service agreements, preventative maintenance programs, warranty, etc. with US specific Equipment Suppliers
    • Ensure supply availability and planning for new equipment releases and/or special programs.
    • Ensure performance and accessibility of Equipment Supplier Service Networks to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
    • Ensure in supplier expectations for delivery lead-time and logistics processes improvements are being met.
    • Communication for new equipment releases and equipment-related programs as per above negotiations with alignment from Engineering, Operations, Worldwide Equipment, etc.
    • Communicate, evaluate, measure and enforce Supplier Expectations with Supplier base
    • Serve as an advocate for the Owner / Operator, Company and Supplier by leading successful resolution of field issues and minimizing recurrence through process improvement.
  • Executing all necessary communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information to franchisee, cross-functional stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Serve as one of the key relationship owners with the NSLC (National Supply Leadership Council for U.S. Franchisees)

Qualifications

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or equivalent field experience is preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in supply chain or commensurate project management experience in related functions is required
  • U.S. Deployment, strong project management, direct franchisee interactions are a plus
  • Project Management Certification is a plus (PMP)
  • Advanced education is a plus (e.g. MBA)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient communication and presentations skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Possess a working knowledge of procurement best practices such as sourcing, RFP processes including supplier negotiations, selection, evaluation, management, and development; must be able to demonstrate "hands-on" experience
  • Think critically in order to structure analyses and processes to solve poorly defined problems and create a strong business narrative.
