Company Description:

The Regional Strategy & Insights Manager serves as a strategic thought partner to the ABU and collaborates with markets to harness customer and business insights to drive business growth. This position supports the ABU S&I Lead in running the 3 Year Planning Cycle (31Q) and periodic business reviews.

Job Description:

The Regional S&I Manager will also be jointly responsible with the S&I Lead in lifting Insights capability to drive a customer and data centric culture across the BU.

Principal Accountabilities

Strategy

The Strategy & Insights Manager will play a major supporting role in:

Annual 3 Year Planning Cycle

  • Supports the S&I Lead in driving the Planning Cycle: Strategy Summit / Phase 1, and Phase 2 including leading the preparation and arrangements of Planning events.
  • Partner with IDL in updating the 31Q templates to enable markets to develop ambitious plans grounded on deep customer and brand understanding.

ABU 3 Year Plan

  • Supports the S&I Lead and ABU Team in developing the ABU 3 Year Plan, ensuring focus in the most impactful drivers of the business.
  • Strategic adviser to markets to aid development of their 3 Year Plans, particularly in (1) 4Cs (Context, Company, Competition, Customer); (2) Growth projections (vs. IEO/QSR); (3) Comp Build drivers
  • Partner with ABU Team in identifying areas that can sharpen market plans to yield stronger growth

Quarterly business reviews

  • Partner with the S&I Lead and ABU Team in developing the ABU QBR
  • Support the S&I Lead in running the Quarterly Business Reviews with markets 
    • Identifies key areas for discussion, in consultation with ABU Function Leads
    • Guide markets to enable focused, action-oriented discussions
    • Captures and monitors progress of actions identified in the business review

Insights

  • Build a customer and data centric ABU
    • Lifting Customer Insights capability across the BU
      • Elevate customer understanding in the BU and markets, giving them a seat at the table.
      • Deploy foundational researches in the markets to yield deep understanding of customer behaviour leading to discovery of insights that serve as springboard for ideation.
    • Lifting Business Insights capability across the BU
      • Coach market S&I teams in business insights capability: 
      • Sales, Guest Count, and Average Check Analysis
      • Sales and GC build projection and tracking
      • Product Mix, Transaction Level Data, Store Analysis
      • Pricing Strategy
    • Demonstrate ways of working with multi-function team on business performance reviews
Qualifications:
  • Minimum: a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, and/or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Strategy & Insights discipline
  • Strong data analytics with proven track record in discovering consumer/customer and business insights that drive growth
  • Inspiring storyteller, able to connect the dots across multiple sources of information and curate it to provoke action
  • Experience in managing S&I for a regional, multi-country brand is an advantage
