Department Overview
The People Experience (PEX) organization within Global Business Services (GBS) operates globally, with teams in our Mexico and India offices, working together to design and deliver seamless HR services and technology solutions that empower our people and enable the business.
Role Summary
Responsible for leading and optimizing the management of third-party vendors in the PEX organization. This role is responsible for overseeing key components of the vendor lifecycle including – adherence to contract terms, SLAs, performance measures, renewals and compliance. This role will work closely with Indirect Sourcing and functional leaders to optimize vendor relationships and performance and ensure alignment with business goals and contractual obligations.
Duties:
- Own and maintain a centralized inventory of all HR Shared Services vendor contracts, including master service agreements (MSAs), statements of work (SOWs), contract terms, end dates, and renewal timelines.
- Ensure timely renewals, renegotiations, and risk reviews across all vendor relationships.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
- Partner with Indirect Sourcing/Procurement and Legal to support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract creation or amendments.
- Ensure alignment between business needs, sourcing strategy, and contract structure.
- Participate in vendor selection, RFP processes, and due diligence for new providers.
- Provide tools, templates, and guidance to support effective vendor oversight by operational teams.
- Implement and manage governance frameworks for vendor oversight, including performance review cadences, business continuity planning, audit readiness and overall vendor risk / remediation.
- Identify opportunities to optimize vendor spend, consolidate services, or enhance service delivery quality.
- Stay informed on market trends, pricing benchmarks, and emerging vendors in the HR tech and service delivery space.
Qualifications
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or related field.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in a related role, such as indirect procurement or vendor management.
- Proven experience in negotiating favorable contracts, prices, and terms.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing a structured framework for vendor oversight.
- Specific expertise in mitigating risks inherent to HR vendors, including:
- Data security – Understanding and managing vendors' handling of sensitive employee data, which is critical for compliance with regulations like GDPR or HIPAA.
- Compliance – Ensuring vendors adhere to labor laws, regulatory requirements, and company-specific compliance standards.
- Business continuity – Experience with business continuity planning to ensure that essential HR services continue without disruption during a vendor issue or outage.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders, including executives and legal, without direct reporting authority.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving beneficial agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate vendor performance and resolve complex issues.
- Proficiency in vendor management software, contract management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- High degree of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $149,260.00 - $190,310.00 per year
