Role Summary

McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald’s to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities.  We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to help drive this transformation as the Sr. Manager, IT Software Sourcing Support. This key position will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the IT Software category sourcing strategies, ensuring that we maximize McDonald’s value through strategic sourcing and vendor management.

Reporting to the Director, IT Software Sourcing, the Senior Manager will be responsible for executing global sourcing efforts within these categories, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver value. The Senior Manager will also contribute to driving continuous innovation and improvements within the sourcing process to support broader business priorities

Duties

  • Support Category Strategy Execution: Assist in the execution of sourcing strategies for the IT Software category, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the broader sourcing strategy.
  • Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, providing insights and contributing to tailored sourcing strategies that deliver value across the McDonald’s global organization.
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Help manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement, identify innovative solutions, and support strategic partnerships.
  • Category Plan Support: Assist the IT Software Sourcing team in the development and execution of strategic category plans, including cost savings, risk management, and process optimization for sub-categories.
  • Negotiation Support: Contribute to the preparation of negotiations, ensuring the terms meet business requirements and support the execution of complex agreements and SLAs.
  • Innovation Contribution: Support sourcing initiatives that drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and innovation in line with the company’s broader business strategies.
  • Risk & Compliance Monitoring: Assist in ensuring sourcing strategies and supplier relationships align with McDonald’s compliance and risk management frameworks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, providing input on sourcing processes, performance metrics, and benchmarks to improve sourcing outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth coordination on various sourcing projects and help facilitate the development of team capabilities.
  • Performance Motivation: Coach and mentor the IT Software Sourcing category team to build skills and capabilities for personal and organizational growth

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a highly complex environment and Global landscape
  • Experience in conducting influential discussions with executive leaders
  • Strong background in procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationship management, with excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is: $129,800.00 - $165,490.00
