Department Overview
McDonald’s is a global leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, where innovation, collaboration, and technology play a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead Prioritization & Planning within the U.S. Market Technology Operational Excellence function. This role will be responsible for driving strategic prioritization, establishing robust metrics to supervise performance, and enhancing partner engagement across the organization!
In this role, you will be responsible for leading prioritization efforts, establishing performance metrics, and improving collaborator involvement to ensure alignment and measurable success across the organization. You will play a critical role in enhancing technology performance, reducing reliance on help desk support, and deploying technology across 13,000+ restaurants. This position requires a strategic leader who will focus on seamless execution and collaboration to protect operations and ensure the success of McDonald's technology initiatives!
This role requires on-site presence at McDonald’s Headquarters (MHQ)
Accountabilities and Responsibilites:
Strategic Planning & Prioritization
- Establish and lead the prioritization framework to ensure U.S. Technology initiatives are aligned with strategic goals and deliver maximum value
- Develop and implement performance metrics to measure success across U.S. Technology programs and projects, delivering actionable insights to leadership
- Establish a framework for evaluating lessons learned, integrating feedback into program planning, and driving continuous improvement.
- Drive resource allocation efforts to ensure teams are equipped to deliver on critical programs while optimizing capacity across multiple initiatives
- Support capacity planning efforts, ensuring a clear understanding of resource availability, open roles, and staffing requirements for successful program execution
Communication, Analysis & Reporting
- Simplify reporting processes and build dashboards to ensure clarity, access to progress, and enable faster decision-making across the organization
- Manage collaborator communications to promote clarity, visibility, and positive sentiment regarding U.S. Technology’s initiatives.performance
- Craft persuasive cases for crucial investments, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable returns
- Prepare and deliver professional, concise stories and updates for leadership and key collaborators
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate a data-driven culture through project execution, performance tracking, and financial governance processes
- Encourage alignment across cross-functional teams and customers to enhance collaboration, clarity, and focus on organizational priorities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of project and process excellence managers, providing strategic vision while balancing near-term results and long-term goals
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and regularly reviewing processes and outcomes.
- Lead special projects and initiatives as requested
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in program/project management, operations strategy, or a related field with a focus on prioritization, metrics, and performance tracking
- Proven success in developing and implementing operational frameworks, processes, and metrics in sophisticated organizations
- Proficient in prioritization frameworks, governance, and prioritization within a technology or operations-focused setting
- Strong proficiency in program management tools and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Smartsheet)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable, data-driven insights

Salary Range
Salary Ranges-$$149,260.00 - $$190,310.00
