Accountabilities & Responsibilities
The Sr Manager, Cybersecurity Business Partner is the lead cybersecurity representative within the local US McDonald’s market. This role ensures that cybersecurity is tightly integrated into market operations, enabling business objectives while protecting brand trust, customer data, and technology assets. The Sr Manager, Cybersecurity Business Partner translates global cybersecurity strategies into actionable market initiatives, manages local cyber risks, supports regulatory compliance, and drives cyber awareness across staff and franchisees.
The Sr Manager, Cybersecurity Business Partner serves as a critical bridge between McDonald’s Global Cybersecurity organization and the US market leadership-empowering the market to grow securely in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Market-Focused Security Leadership
- Act as the primary cybersecurity advisor to the local market leadership, including Technology, Operations, Legal, and Franchisee Support.
- Align & Drive cybersecurity initiatives with local business priorities and global cyber standards.
- Represent the market in global cybersecurity forums and advocate for market-specific needs.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and assess cybersecurity risks in the market-including restaurant systems, third parties, suppliers, and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with market technology and Global Cyber teams to remediate risks and drive control improvements.
- Ensure adherence to global policies and alignment with local regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI, national data privacy laws).
Incident Preparedness & Response
- Serve as the market lead during cybersecurity incidents-coordinating between Global Security Operations and local teams.
- Ensure incident response plans are tested, up-to-date, and well understood by key stakeholders.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and lead follow-up actions across the market.
Cybersecurity Awareness & Culture
- Drive tailored cybersecurity awareness campaigns and training for corporate staff, restaurant employees, and franchisees.
- Promote secure behaviors in key areas such as mobile ordering, kiosks, and POS usage.
- Embed a proactive, security-first mindset across all layers of the market.
Governance, Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain visibility into local security posture and provide regular reporting to global and market leadership.
- Support execution of global assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
- Participate in governance meetings and collaborate with Global Cyber peers to share lessons and align initiatives.
Market specific activities
- Contribute to internal communications and reporting, including pipeline updates, audit responses, and leadership briefings.
- Support annual planning activities, including IFRs, market guides, and contract renewals
- Ensure timely, GAAP-compliant submission of journal entries and financial documentation
- Review and manage market specific cybersecurity-related contracts.
- Monitor contract pipeline of expiring contracts and auto-renewals to mitigate service disruptions and ensure favorable terms
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, enterprise IT, or risk management.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Excellent communication skills; capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in large, global, or franchise-based environments.
Preferred:
- Background in QSR, retail, or hospitality sectors.
- Experience with restaurant technologies such as POS, kiosk, and delivery platforms.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent.
- Fluent in English.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $129,800.00 - $165,490.00 per year
