Department Overview

The Senior Manager, Business Technical Analyst within the Technology group plays a strategic role in optimizing internal processes, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-informed decision-making. This position partners closely with IT leaders, engineers, and multi-functional business teams to drive high-impact initiatives through process development, technical analysis, and data visualization using tools like Smartsheet and Power BI.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT collaborators to identify operational struggles, capture requirements, and design scalable solutions that align with technology goals.
  • Lead process development and optimization initiatives across the technology function, translating business needs into effective workflows.
  • Develop and maintain Smartsheet-based solutions including automated workflows, intake systems, and collaborative project trackers.
  • Build and handle sophisticated Power BI dashboards to support technology KPIs, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Support data processing and analysis for technology roadmaps, program reporting, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Act as a translator between technical teams and business units - ensuring clarity, alignment, and actionable outcomes.
  • Define and document SOPs, process flows, and user guides for newly developed tools and systems.
  • Drive adoption of self-service analytics and collaborative tools within the IT department.
  • Proactively identify trends, inefficiencies, or gaps using structured data and collaborator feedback.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the tech organization, promoting automation and data accuracy.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business analysis or technical operations role, ideally within an IT or Technology group.
  • Hands-on experience designing Smartsheet solutions, including automation, forms, and cross-sheet formulas.
  • Proficient in Power BI: DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and publishing dashboards.
  • Familiarity with IT processes such as Agile/Scrum, SDLC, ITIL, or technology portfolio management.
  • Proficient in data analysis, business process documentation, and technical writing.
  • Good communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic technology environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) or enterprise tools like Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
  • Experience in data governance or IT strategy.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260.00 - $190,310.00 per year
