Department Overview

The Commercial Product & Platform team develops global technology products and platforms that delight our customers and enable placing orders to restaurants reliably and effectively.

This role will lead one of the GMA Platform teams, in charge of the technology foundation at the heart of our Global Mobile Application. They will work with other GMA teams to make sure that the technology foundation stays up to date as per our architectural norms. They will propose and deploy new practices to improve the Engineering quality across the GMA ecosystem. Collaborate with various teams to define and implement a solid technology strategy for GMA. This Sr. Tech Lead will collaborate with the Director Technical Lead over GMA Platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of mobile developers (iOS and Android) dedicated to the Global Mobile Application product by providing technical guidance during agile sprint ceremonies and day to day interactions.
  • Responsible for helping the team design and estimate implementation tasks, lead implementation work streams, and mentor junior team members.
  • Provide direction on architecture approach, application implementation guidance, and design decisions to be flexible to accommodate current business needs and future changing requirements, ensuring minimal complexity with code and design.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Solution Architecture, Data & Analytics, Cloud Ops, and Security teams to align technology strategies with product roadmaps. It involves defining platform architecture, setting technical requirements, setting quality and scalability metrics, guiding decisions on architecture, system design, and technical strategy in assuring the technology stack supports the product objectives.
  • Participate in release preparation, planning, and deployment globally.
  • Support the hiring and professional development of engineers in partnership with the Delivery Office as needed.
  • Lead your team in mobile standards, code reviews, and presentations to develop leadership skills.
  • Contribute code for example projects to help prove out ideas and help engineers understand new concepts.

Qualifications

  • Requires minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related technology field.
  • Requires 5+ years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience.
  • 5 years+ experience with iOS and/or Android development.
  • Experience using the following software development tools
  • Centralized version control: GitHub or BitBucket (GitHub preferred)
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins or something similar
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience dealing with the security and compliance side of software development.
  • Experienced in owning quality and standard methodologies in automation and testing.
  • Experienced with building out and maintaining metrics, alarms, and monitoring services.

Salary Range

Salary Ranges-$149,260.00 - $190,310.00
