The Opportunity

The Real Estate Asset Management Department is hiring a Specialist, located in the Toronto office. The role reports to the Director, National Asset Management. The successful candidate will partner with Restaurant Development, Asset Management, Franchising, Construction, Field Service, etc. and be accountable for providing support to the business units and complete administrative tasks.  This posting is for an existing role.

Key customers include: Asset and Property Managers, Real Estate Transaction Managers, Reinvestment Consultants, Property Tax Manager, Owner Operators and Regional Staff.

Duties

  • Support the Asset Management team with preparing reports and reconciling data in SmartSheet, Excel, and preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Day-to-day administration tasks including preparing and submitting letter correspondence, preparing and submitting invoices, distribution of mail, organizing calendar invites. 
  • Working directly with stakeholders and vendors in the co-ordination, implementation and enhancements of all Asset Management workflow automation projects (ThinkLP,Smartsheet, Tririga);.
  • Working directly with Property Tax Consultant on information requests for Assessment Appeals, research for comparable properties and day to day assistance with appeals.
  • Lead and coordinate inputs for monthly and/or quarterly reporting for: Franchisee Re-writes (New Term); Franchisee Transactions; Financial Reporting; Excess Properties; Land Purchases.
  • Responsible for updating template forms (Comp Forms; Purchase Analysis forms).
  • Special projects as may be assigned by the Director and/or Senior Managers of the Asset Management team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of related real estate training and work experience in commercial real estate.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial leases and lease terms.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills to manage multiple tasks at any given time, with tight deadlines - while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills and technologically savvy.
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change.
  • Ability to escalate when assistance is needed in a timely manner.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $61,440 - $81,919 per year
