We are looking for a Senior Manager of Finance for the CosMc’s team. The objectives for this phase of the project are to run and evaluate the success of our pilot stores of the new concept, which is a strategic priority to Global Leadership and the broader McDonald’s organization. This role will perform and be responsible for all financial reporting and planning activities for the pilot stores, including evaluating the restaurant concept P&Ls, strategic financial analysis, and the creation of strategic business cases.
The ideal candidate will be a strong performer, with experience interacting across multiple disciplines. This candidate will also have an entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with ambiguity and agile ways of working, and openness to evolving their own role and responsibilities as we continue to ensure our pilot team’s Finance function is fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate and review restaurant P&Ls and related financial modeling for pilot sites
- G&A Budget management - liaison with McDonald’s corporate Finance, tracking budget and spend
- Support CosMc’s business decisions
- Analyze actual financial results CosMc's(e.g., review of weekly/monthly performance vs. forecast, updating financials coming out of the pilot, etc.) - strong restaurant P&L management
- Assist with core accounting and reporting for pilot and/or expansion sites (e.g., invoice payments, payroll, service agreements, etc.)
- Lead menu pricing strategy for CosMc’s, including analysis of gross margin, competitor pricing and overall value proposition
- Own the creation of financial presentations and business case updates to senior leadership
- Perform project work as determined by leadership
- Experience in fields related to finance or accounting, ideally with exposure to Restaurant Development, Commercial or Retail Finance
- Experience with pricing strategy preferred
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance
- Familiarity with finer details within P&L, such as food cost components, labor scheduling impacts, etc.
- Strong ability to build insightful financial models coupled with the ability to communicate results to non-finance professionals
- Ability to optimally scrutinize and challenge project assumptions; interpret strategies and priorities through a financial lens
- Must have flexibility for potential travel across U.S. geography
