Job Description:

The SDET's responsibilities include identifying solutions for the automation of testing tasks with a focus on enhancements to the existing automation framework and expansion of the automation framework wherever necessary. This SDET is a test or software development professional with advanced programming skills who can create test automation tools and frameworks to assist the quality engineers in squads and Regression automation engineers.

To be successful as an SDET, you should have excellent time management and organizational skills as well as strong communication skills. You should have a passion for designing, developing, and testing.

SDET Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
  • Setting up and maintaining test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Web, and Point of Sale.
  • Maintaining and enhancing Test infrastructure on the cloud
  • Working with DevOps in integrating Automated Tests to CI/CD pipelines
  • Analyzing and disintegrating software systems and coordinating with other teams to enhance the test framework.
  • Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
  • Handling technical communications and understanding the requirements
  • Working with Product Engineers and Quality Engineers, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating with product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
  • Participate in daily standups and produce weekly reports.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent designing and programming skills preferably Java, C#, and YAML
  • Have experience setting up frameworks in the Cloud, AWS preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years in developing Test Automation Frameworks.
  • Experience with Mobile Test Automation and Point-of-Sale preferred.
  • Experience with back-end development , experience working with servers, databases, and application logic (API’s)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
