Job Description:

The Restaurant Technology Platform Lead plays a leading role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our restaurants' systems and software. Working in collaboration with the Global tech team, vendors and stakeholders, this role will seek to continually minimise and eliminate gaps in technology processes that prevent greater levels of operational uptime for our restaurants.

What are the main focus points of this role?

  • Provide technical leadership for our restaurant technology platforms to ensure the quality and consistency to support uptime across our restaurants
  • Deliver technical leadership for our restaurant technology solutions engaging closely with partners such as RSG
  • Working with suppliers to develop and improve on technology platforms and required outcomes
  • Represent Technology in cross functional teams and projects
  • Certification of new technology from product conception through to BAU support
  • Ensure our restaurant systems are secure and up to date by owning ongoing maintenance activities such as patching and configuration management
  • Advancing our model for proactive monitoring and maintenance of restaurant technology platforms and systems

What skills do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • Experience in a similar role supporting technology systems in a retail environment
  • Demonstrable experience in the implementation and execution of technology-based initiatives across a large enterprise technology footprint
  • Solid organisation and project management skills, with knowledge or experience with Agile & Scrum based methodologies.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships, collaborate, build consensus and partner in a global team environment with cross functional teams and outside organizations
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills face to face and remote
  • Continuously identify and leveraging areas of opportunity to reduce support escalations and decrease disruption to our restaurants
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new or changing conditions
  • ITIL knowledge of or ITIL 4 certification is preferred but not essential

Ideally some exposure to the following technologies:

  • Large scale Microsoft Server 2012-2019 environments
  • Enterprise server and network hardware
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, WSUS
  • Windows 10 & Win10 IoT
  • Hardware peripherals - Printers, Scanners, mobile devices
  • Network standards (Ethernet, 802.11, TCP/IP, MPLS, WAN, SNMP)
  • Support Cybersecurity awareness activities and processes
  • Experience with enterprise observability solutions
