Position Title: Regional Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing  
Position band: Management Advisory (Global Grade 4) 
Reports to: Director, Field Marketing
Type of position: Full-time, Contract (12-month)

Position Description

Marketing

  • Grow profitable sales, guest counts and market share in Eastern Canada through marketing alignment with the regional business strategy 
  • Support development and execution of the national marketing plan 
  • Understands provincial nuances in Canada and able to identify opportunities and threats 
  • Manage the Regional Owner Operator Marketing Forum structure, process, and communication planning. Contribute the same with the National Marketing Forum 
  • Manage the regional agency relationship and performance 
  • Approve regional creative from our Agency partners 

Relationship Building

  • Directly manages two marketing team members 
  • Ability to understand the democratic environment in which we operate with our Franchise Owners 
  • Builds relationships, credibility and respect with all internal and external stakeholders 
  • Work with the NMF/RMF (elected representatives that represent geographical areas) to vote on our plans 
  • Ability to be an advocate to our Franchise Owners and influence and guide decisions as needed 
  • Ability to influence and persuade to attain buy in 
  • Acts in a professional and analytical manner and understands formal meeting conduct 

Strategy 

  • Gathers (with the assistance of the research and analysis group), analyzes, and provides accurate, relevant, and timely information so that agencies make the best recommendations and Franchise Owners make informed and confident decisions. 
  • Interprets and evaluates information related to consumer insights, sales, P&L, promotional evaluation, competition, general economic trends, and qualitative/quantitative research. 
  • Offers advice and counsel to ensure that company, restaurants and RMF’s financial resources are used effectively.

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of Marketing Experience in brand 
  • Creative and strategic marketer - able to think outside the box and lead the team to do the same 
  • Exceptional people leadership, professional ethical standards 
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset 
  • Strong presentation delivery skills; with the ability to present to large groups
  • Previous experience managing a team or having direct reports 
  • Experience managing large marketing budgets 
  • Multi-unit experience within a retail Franchise network, considered a nice to have
  • An undergraduate degree with a business, commerce or marketing focus 
  • Advertising Certificate or Program would be considered a nice to have 
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within Canada
