Job Description:

McDonald’s is taking our business beyond the walls of restaurants -revolutionizing how we interface with our customers. We are providing customers with enticing mobile, web, and kiosk solutions on the scale of industry leading retailers like Amazon and eBay. Technology is critical to our digital strategy - a top priority for McDonald’s.

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) & Transformation Office are driving excellence across the Global organization and leading initiatives for technology. Under direct supervision of a more senior Project Manager, the Project Supervisor manages smaller projects or component(s) of a larger project.

Primary Duties:

Ensure project success by doing the following:

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and costs, and implement the approved actions and workarounds to mitigate project risks
  • Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members, and manage execution of the tasks defined in the plan
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Identify key project team members by defining roles and responsibilities to create a project organization structure in order to develop the communication plan
  • Manage and record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables using requirement-gathering techniques
  • Improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, and training.
  • Communicate information so others will understand, and listen to others

Have experience doing the following:

  • Defining project roles, responsibilities, methodology, tools and best practices
  • Leveraging shared services
  • Providing input on delivery model and best practices
  • Supporting, leading, or ensuring the standardization of processes for implementing projects across all clients, in accordance with best practices
  • Identifying, and/or elevating ideas for improving the delivery model offer and methodologies

Main areas of focus and the approximate time spent on each is as follows:

  • Project Planning and Execution of smaller projects or component(s) of a larger project - 50% 
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication Planning - 25%
  • Project Change Control and Measure Performance - 10%
  • Project Risk and Issue Management - 10%
  • Adhere to EPMO Standards, Processes and Tools - 5%
  • Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Two to four years’ experience required: Prior corporate project management experience preferred with 2+ years managing projects
  • Demonstrate entry level knowledge of Project Management process and tools
  • Experience communicating effectively with mid-level management and direct client contact
  • Experience with software methodology development processes Project Supervisor 
  • Ability to create presentations and write business cases under direct involvement by a more senior project or program manager
  • Project budgeting/costing knowledge
  • Ability to solve problems, deal with a variety of work situations, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and knowledge of common Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) software
  • Taking continued learning class on project management and agile techniques recommended
