Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada is the national foundation of support for Canada’s 33 program locations across the country (16 Ronald McDonald Houses, 17 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms), working closely with McDonald’s Canada as our largest donor and founding and forever partner. Recognized as an essential service in Canada, RMHC programs support more than 26,000 families with sick children from over 3,400 communities in an average year, enabling equitable access to healthcare, and ensuring families are supported and actively involved in their child’s care.

The Opportunity
The Partnerships Consultant is a multi-faceted role designed to support RMHC Canada’s National Partnerships Program to achieve ambitious and achievable revenue outcomes against defined targets in support of our mission. Reporting to the National Partnerships Director and championing a global leader in providing programs that support families with sick children, this is a unique opportunity to lead the overall management and execution of deliverables for large-scale national corporate partnerships at the center of an established, well-recognized, highly collaborative, and relationship-based organization.

Partnerships Management & Development

  • Manages and nurtures an active and growing portfolio of National Corporate Partners, supporting their fundraising goals, and proactively stewarding the impact of their giving
  • Mines for revenue growth opportunities within the portfolio, actively building pitches and presenting partnership opportunities to corporate partners in a model of co-creation that achieves donor needs and expectations, and RMHC revenue targets.
  • Leads and directs shared stewardship and donor engagement with 12 Regional Chapters across the country.
  • Leads the execution of large-scale corporate partnership deliverables; and the preparation of reports to steward the impact of their giving
  • Partners with the Manager of Development to build relationships with new prospects, pitch and pull-through new revenue, maintaining line of sight to all partnership elements, deliverables, and key outcomes to efficiently and effectively transition to their portfolio and manage forward
  • Supports and collaborates with the NPP team to sell and execute RMHC Canada’s annual National Fundraising Event as well as other new initiatives that may emerge as RMHC Canada and NPP continue to grow.
  • Adheres to the standards of ethical fundraising (AFP, Imagine Canada), industry best-practice, and all RMHC Canada policies, including the Prospect Clearance Process, to cultivate, steward and secure donors at the national level.

Marketing and Communications

  • Works in partnership with 12 RMHC Regional Chapters across Canada to track and amplify stories of local impact across their portfolio; works in partnership with RMHC Canada’s Digital Engagement Specialist to amplify/create custom assets to tell those stories across various channels.
  • Prepares reports and communications for internal and external audiences, amplifying donor giving with key stakeholders: RMHC Canada Team, RMHC Canada Board of Directors, McDonald’s Canada, RMHC Global, 12 RMHC Regional Chapters, Donors and Corporate Partners and their employees.
  • Partners with RMHC Canada’s Digital Engagement Specialist to create mission-focused assets for National Corporate Partner channels that engage their employees, customers and key stakeholders and inspire them to give.

Data Management

  • Ensures all activity within their portfolio is tracked in RMHC Canada’s relational database in a timely manner.
  • Tracks and reports all revenue from National Corporate Partners in partnership with the NPP team and RMHC Canada Finance Controller; prepare custom reports as required.
Qualifications:
  • Education: post-secondary degree and / or at least 2 years related experience in executing partnerships of support
  • Dedicated self-starter who can work independently and virtually within a small, peer-based team setting
  • Collaborative and communication skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and able to work with multidisciplined teams; understands the importance of relationship building and has demonstrated success in doing so
  • Contributes actively by working with others collaboratively in all interactions
  • Agility: Adaptable and able to manage shifts in priorities; proven ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment with a constant desire to learn and apply knowledge; gives, receives, and acts on constructive feedback
  • Technical skills: Excellent computer skills including experience using Excel, PowerPoint and relational databases (i.e., Raiser’s Edge).
