Job Description:

Working with the Head of Supplier Management, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an effective supplier management governance framework for both new and existing suppliers.  You will be accountable for leading the process to onboard new suppliers, providing leadership in the negotiations to drive business value and setting standards for the effective governance for the duration of the contract.

What will my accountabilities be?

  • Provide leadership to foster a high-performing culture aligned with the company values
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to members of your team, ensuring that all individuals have strong development plans, a path for career progression and a succession plan
  • Establish a comprehensive and objective toolkit for supplier selection including Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP) and supplier evaluation criteria to be used for the onboarding of all technology suppliers
  • Work with the Head of Supplier Management and Supplier Managers to develop and maintain a structured Supplier Governance framework
  • Create and maintain a supplier performance management framework and facilitate its effective use
  • Ensure that appropriate management reporting is produced so that stakeholders are aware of the performance of strategic partners each month
  • Establish a means and associated governance model for segmenting suppliers based on strategic value and spend
  • Create a Supplier Risk Management framework and facilitate the effective use across all Supplier Managers and Analysts in all categories
  • Take the lead for technology in all contract and commercial negotiations in partnership with the Legal team and Technology Subject Matter Experts
  • Develop and maintain a contracts database so that the Technology team are able to effectively plan and manage all contract renewals
  • Manage expenditure ensuring that all financial targets are met, investigating any risk areas where budgets and expenditure may exceed their agreed tolerances and report these. Ensure accurate allocation and apportionment of all incurred costs

What team will I be a part of?

The Supplier Selection and Contracts Consultant will operate within the Supplier Management team and as part of the Running Great Restaurant Technology department.  Additionally, they will work extremely closely with the Global Vendor Management Office and Market Legal Team.

  •  Experience in strategic planning, implementing governance, communications, and financial management
  • Proven track record of successful team leadership and development
  •  Significant experience in managing a diverse and broad range of technology suppliers
  • Ability to interact and converse with senior technology stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and commercial acumen and possess a proven ability to work effectively with all organisational levels
  • The role holder will be able to build collaborative working relationships with suppliers and their stakeholders including McDonald’s Franchisees and our partners vendors whilst familiar with related legal constructs
  • Experience in strategic planning, implementing governance, communications, and financial management
  • Proven track record of successful team leadership and development
  • Significant experience in managing a diverse and broad range of technology suppliers
  • Ability to interact and converse with senior technology stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and commercial acumen and possess a proven ability to work effectively with all organisational levels
