Reports to: HR Manager, West
Type of position: Full-time, permanent
The Opportunity
Working with the West Human Resources Team, the Human Resources Coordinator plays an important role in supporting and executing key people resources duties. Based in the Burnaby office, the HR Coordinator will provide administrative and project support to deliver outstanding service to our and customers and support the team on exceptional execution of our people programs.

Principal Accountabilities
In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administrative support to the West Human Resources team and additional departmental support, including the coordination and planning of meetings & events
- Coordination of various HR Programs
- Support of our internal HR Hotline and email, responding to initial issues and working and to address these
- Act as a content administrator for our internal intranet as related to People Resources
- West Staff Engagement including, but not limited to Workplace updates, and office activities
- Support with New Hires, Terminations, and ordering of equipment
- Office staff orientations and onboarding
- Assist and coordinate special business projects as assigned
- Preparing, editing & proofing communication memos, reports and other information as required
- Staff data support - e.g., questions around service dates/sabbatical dates/anniversary dates
- Manage service awards and anniversary celebrations, including our recognition platform
- Support team with staffing, data and other reporting, as requested
- The experience: demonstrated experience working in an administrative capacity with a high degree of confidentiality. CPHR or equivalent designation considered an asset
- Project coordination skills: detail oriented with strong organization and multi-tasking skills to ensure project success
- Communication skills: outstanding written and oral communications skills with the ability to interface effectively with diverse stakeholders. Bilingual (EN/FR) considered an asset
- Collaboration skills: proven experience building strong work relationships across the organization paired with the ability to work effectively in a time environment
- Technical skills: excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (i.e.: Word, Excel Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint)
- Agility: experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change and ambiguity
