Job Description:

This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO), where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald’s works. We provide outstanding foundational technology products and services including Global Networking, Cloud,

End User Computing, and IT Service Management. It’s our goal to always provide an engaging, relevant, and simple experience for our customers.

Collaborating with the Senior Director, Global Network Infrastructure & Operations, and working closely with the entire technology leadership team, the GTIO Director, Global Restaurant Network Transformation Product Director will anticipate and run the strategic and tactical needs for McDonald’s Global Restaurant Network transformation (GRNT) initiative while leading all aspects of the development and deployment. You will work closely with various partners and collaborators across the globe.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to help craft the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonald’s environment.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Advises day-to-day program/initiative planning and management that includes project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule to develop and deploy products and features.
  • Runs detailed activities of the program/initiative to promote smooth alignment and progress toward landmarks to initiation, planning, execution (test and deploy). monitoring/controlling and closing.
  • Work closely with various Technology teams to define requirements and work plans to deliver the outcomes planned.
  • Leads risks and issues with internal and external partners to the program/initiative in a timely manner.
  • Ensure requirements are developed into various tracks of technical results working closely with internal and external teams and partners.
  • Collaborating with markets to ensure requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints are understood and detailed.
  • Ensures end-to-end crafting, testing, and support are delivered for all products and features.
  • Provide oversight of the solution design that meets integration, quality, and supportability requirements.
  • Collaboration with internal teams to define the project environment management plan coordinated with the overall PMO plans.
  • Measure and supervise progress and quality at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or goes above and beyond. Balance schedule, budget, quality, and risks.
  • Ensure that all requirements, work plans, management plans, and changes to dedication are communicated to all technology team members and 3rd parties efficiently.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.
  • Maintain relationships with all suppliers and subcontractors. Supervise their progress and alignment with the contract.
  • Represent the GRNT team on project and collaborator meetings. Acquire consensus from senior management for all key plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, quality assurance plans, schedule, and scope changes.
  • Leads communication within the technology teams, users, and key collaborators.
  • Develop project landmarks and critical metrics, and ensure they are managed and delivered.
  • Develop and maintain initial business cases and individual cases in each market.
  • Develop and deliver cohesive vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the Global Restaurant Network Transformation initiative in partnership with the larger Network Infrastructure and Operations (NIO) team, GTIO leadership, and external collaborators.
  • Advise and facilitate the adoption and improvement of our Global Restaurant Network Transformation initiative.
  • Supervise and ensure the accuracy, quality, security, supportability, and usability of the Restaurant Network Transformation deliveries.
  • Understand global and regional restaurant network requirements and lead transformation, standardization, and innovation efforts in partnership with the Restaurant Network Product team.
  • Understand McDonald’s current Restaurant Network landscape of tools, processes, standards, automation, monitoring, hardware, and more.
  • Lead assessments and vendor selection in order to develop and deploy ground breaking network products, spanning beyond traditional technology.
  • Assists with the audit and management of the GRNT initiative identifying gaps and needs in corporate teams, segments, markets, and restaurants.
Qualifications:

· Extensive experience delivering large-scale complex network programs and overall global technology initiatives.

· Experience working with multiple markets, collaborators, vendors, and 3rd party partners.

· Experience developing compelling business cases and working with senior leadership for feedback, approval, and delivery.

· Ability to effectively collaborate across the Global Technology organization.

· Ability to handle all aspects of the project, including providing overall guidance and direction to the team and third parties.

· Ability to document and communicate the status of project progress against plans, taking corrective action as agreed necessary.

· Ability to manage the success of metrics defined by the project and the organization.

· Ability to define, implement, and maintain project process guidance (e.g., project plan and subordinate plans).

· Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed.

· Ability to negotiate changes to commitments/requirements.

Experience

· 5+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering/technology, or 3+ years of relevant work experience and a master’s degree.

· 10+ years of technology capability deployment experience across multiple IT practices that may include infrastructure leadership, service management leadership, technology operations, networking, engineering, security, and business relationship management.

· 5+ years of experience in delivering complex infrastructure, network, and/or network security products and platforms.

· 5+ years of professional experience designing, building, supporting, or managing core enterprise networks: Routing, Switching, LAN, WLAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewall, etc.

· 2+ years of experience working and collaborating in a globally dispersed team.

· 2+ years of Experience working in an Agile environment with a Scrum Master, Daily Scrum meetings, Backlogs, Sprints, and written Stories and deliverables. Familiar with documentation process and tools, JIRA and Confluence preferred.

· Strong experience in process improvement, with an emphasis on analytics and process management (prior experience with Lean, and Six Sigma tools preferred).

· Experience using project management tools, technology, and workflows.

· PMP, PgMP, Prince, or equivalent required.

· Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFE, or equivalent) are advantageous.

· CCIE/CCNP/CCDP certification, or equivalent, preferred.

· ITIL certification preferred
