Job Description:

The Ronald McDonald's House Charities (RMHC) system consists of over 260 chapters in 60+ countries and regions. The RMHC Finance team supports the global network by leading, fostering and facilitating financial management best practice, collaboration and alignment to achieve compliance, strategic growth, and financial sustainability. 

Based out of our global headquarters in the West Loop of downtown Chicago, the Finance Supervisor will collaborate with the RMHC Finance Manager to support the RMHC Global Field Operations Team along with RMHC chapters worldwide to execute the Finance team initiatives. 

In addition to following RMHC policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing chapter annual financial submissions, including audited financial statements, financial metrics, and other required reporting to monitor Chapter financial health
  • Supporting chapters with the move toward standardized financial reporting globally
  • Collaborating with the RMHC Field Operations team to assist chapters with financial management and financial reporting matters, as necessary
  • Contributing to the maintenance and development of financial resource materials for chapters, such as manuals, financial tools, templates, and internal communications
  • Contributing to the development and execution of education for RMHC chapters worldwide to help build their capacity in the area of financial management
  • Reviewing chapter financial modeling tools as part of the process of approval for new programs or program expansion to assess chapters’ financial capacity for the new or expanded programs
  • Analyzing RMHC financial data and annual information and outcomes revenue data and preparing reports, including supporting Field Operations and other RMHC Global Chapter reporting requests
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Accounting is required
  • Previous experience in public accounting is required
  • 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, including auditing or tax preparing for a non-profit is required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and have the ability to quickly learn other software applications necessary to complete daily tasks
  • CPA preferred
