Job Description:Hybrid Working
This role is based in our East Finchley office working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
The Opportunity
As the ePMO & Portfolio Officer you will work closely with the ePMO & Portfolio Manager to support the prioritisation and maintenance of the portfolio, and the successful delivery of the projects in the portfolio. Whilst you will support a variety of Portfolio and PMO activities across the team, your role will have 2 key focuses:
- To support the portfolio decision-making by defining and implementing a resource management approach in relation to the portfolio of projects
- Assuring the delivery of projects through the conduct of ad-hoc ‘audits/health checks’ and putting corrective action in place as required
What will my accountabilities be?
Your accountabilities will be broad and varied:
- Definition, implementation, and management of a resource management approach fit for McDonald’s to support the portfolio prioritisation discussions
- Central view of required resources for future work
- Central view of resource involvement/usage on inflight projects
- Liaising with departments to understand resource availability and thus their ability to deliver future proposed projects
- Provide resource views as required for forums to inform decision-making
- Work with Legal to reinforce the process for contractor hiring and ensuring lists of contractor involvement in projects are maintained
- Where projects/programmes require and fund dedicated PMO Analysts, support the project with the identification of the right individual, their onboarding, and maintain oversight of the PMO Analysts delivery
- Until projects transition away from shared PMO Analyst support, manage these contractor resources ensuring work is allocated effectively and expectations are met
- Define, implement, and manage the transition from shared PMO support to a ‘audit/health checks’ approach
- Build relationships with project sponsors to support identification of projects requiring ‘audit/health checks’
- Work with the Head of Project Delivery to ensure adequate onboarding of new Project Managers
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Project Delivery and L&D to address project management upskilling opportunities identified by the ‘audits/health checks’
- Work with the rest of the Change Team to support the roll-up of individual project status reports for the various distributions/forums
- Provide support for areas of portfolio and PMO as required

What background do I need to have?
Essential
- Industry experience in PMO, specifically resource management
- High attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and long-lasting relationships
- Demonstrable experience of undertaking and summarising statistical analysis of multiple data sources
- Strong mathematical skills and familiarity working with budgets and cost modelling
- Capable of operating and communicating at all levels
- Diplomatic ability to influence at all levels
- Curious mind-set
- Adaptable to changing demands and a fast-paced environment
- Excellent skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Self-starter, with can-do attitude and are outcome focused
- You seek and act upon feedback and proactively work on your personal and professional development
Desirable
- Portfolio planning (inc. prioritisation) experience
- Experience working in Smartsheet or other PPM tools
- Familiar with Project Management disciplines and tools
- Experience in scoping and delivering Technical projects
