Could you be our next Deployment Manager (Restaurant Tech Platforms) ?
As the Deployment Manager, you will play a key part in defining best practice whilst leading initiatives, from delivery to deployment across our restaurant technology platform (RTP), which provides the standard foundation for business applications and services to run in the McDonald’s ecosystem. What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing all aspects of Restaurant Technology Platform (RTP) initiatives - including but not limited to certification, imaging and restaurant deployments
  • Assisting in defining Definition of Ready and Definition of Done and enforcing entrance & Exit/Success criteria for all phases of development, testing and deployment
  • Defining and managing process for escalation and ongoing backlog management within the RTP team
  • Presenting project plans and timelines to customers and leadership committees
  • Working with cross functional teams across product engineering and tech operations to understand business needs and their best practices
  • Maintaining project status reporting
  • Being the liaison between market and global technology team. Relaying information and feedback to global technology to help improve RTP products
  • Compiling historical data to confirm current team performance & forecasting upcoming efforts
  • Leading daily/weekly Project status review sessions
  • Facilitating new feature training/demonstration sessions for key stakeholders
  • Conducting Release/Build retrospectives to assist in the development and implementation of Shift Left Methodologies
  • Promoting team empowerment by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project with important contributions/outcomes.
  • Defining and leading processes to provide technical support to the wider local and global technology teams 
  • Managing vendor teams and align on key deliverables with strategic partners 
  • Working closely with key stakeholders globally to understand and plan for emerging technologies and implement them within the organisation to agreed milestones
Additional Information:

Your keys to success:

  • Experience leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects in parallel, including prioritizing major initiatives and negotiating trade-offs with business stakeholders
  • Experience in or ability to work with technical resources to plan the delivery of: Windows 10 IoT SOE, Windows Server including roles such as DHCP, DNS, Certificates, Remote Desktop etc, Virtualisation technology such as Hyper-V, Scripting languages such as powershell, Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Proficient in Project Management /Tracking via MS Project & Smart Sheet
  • A results driven individual with the ability to meet goals, targets and deliver business plan objectives
  • Must be passionate about technology and opinionated about the best ways to deploy products and features that customer love to use

Desirable skills

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience
  • 1 year of Agile Project Management experience
  • FMCG or Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Point of Sales (POS), Windows Imaging and Certification experience
