Job Description:

For nearly 50 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) has been working to improve the health and well-being of children-impacting millions of children and their families worldwide every year.

RMHC strives to be part of the solution to issues challenging families today. Families are challenged with how to stay near and support a hospitalized child; how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment; or even getting basic medical and dental care in underserved communities. We use our resources and partnerships in the community to help families gain access to health care services and keep families together during critical points in their children's lives.

Based out of our headquarters in the West Loop of Chicago, the RMHC Data & Reporting Analyst will support cross-functional RMHC initiatives by performing data analysis, providing strategic business insights, and reporting on McDonald’s and RMHC's National Fundraiser data to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the cross-functional RMHC Global team and McDonald's to provide guidance on financial infrastructure needed to implement new Global McDonald’s facilitated giving opportunities for RMHC
  • Work in partnership with the RMHC In-Restaurant Operations team and third-party Donation Box collection management company to collectively review financial performance metrics and evaluate financial policies and procedures to minimize financial risk
  • Review the U.S. McDonald’s monthly open store listing and align new McDonald’s Restaurants with Local Chapters as well as evaluate alignment as requested by RMHC U.S. Field Operations Team
  • Serve as the finance expert on all McDonald's National Fundraisers and perform the review, reconciliation, and reporting for all RMHC U.S. National Fundraisers, including U.S. RMHC Donation Boxes, Round-Up for RMHC, Fixed Donations, and the Every Day Happy Meal program. This includes working with McDonald’s Global Business Services as necessary on reporting questions and designing/maintaining the RMHC Global and Local Chapter reporting related to RMHC U.S. National Fundraisers
  • Compile, review and analyze McDonald’s National Fundraiser revenue data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Provide support for regular and ad hoc data requests from various internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to: RMHC Global team, McDonald’s (Corporate, Co-Ops, Field Offices, etc.), Owner/Operators and Chapters
  • Assist in National Fundraiser revenue and expense budgeting and evaluating longevity and sustainability of the programs
Qualifications:

Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date. 

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience within Finance
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau 
  • Experience in public accounting is highly preferred
