Department Overview
The U.S. Restaurant Development (USRD) Team is responsible for the real estate, design, coordination, construction, and support of nearly 14,000 restaurants. As a member of the USRD Strategic Planning Team, the primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of analysis and insights to support the USRD Team in achieving their Plan results. In executing this deliverable, incumbent is responsible for establishing processes and protocols driving establishment of the USRD Development Plan (Plan) and providing reports and analyses which measure progress against Plan using available tools and applications (Smartsheet; Alteryx; Power BI).
Responsibilities
People
- Facilitates professional growth of the team through leadership, training, and mentoring.
- Actively assists in the development and training of end users and customers.
- Actively seeks feedback on applications, tools, and reports.
- Actively participates in the transfer of knowledge across technology and analytics resources in other MHQ departments.
Planning / Reporting/ Process Management
- Collaborates with USRD New, Reinvestment, Asset and Property Management Teams to create, support and maintain the USRD Development Plan.
- Prepare Plan updates for both the annual Development Plan and 5 Year Plan.
- Participates in the implementation and analysis of Development initiatives i.e. Building the new restaurant pipeline, in year New restaurant openings; Reinvestment; Cost Optimization; Vision Planning
- Provides reporting and insights on all Development initiatives via Alteryx Designer workflows, Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
- Provides analysis of Development project pipeline and partners with USRD New and Reinvestment Teams to maintain various tools with accurate information, primarily through management of project start/complete dates in Smartsheet.
- Demonstrated construction cost analytical experience to drive cost savings results. Knowledge of general contractor bids and Oracle Financial systems.
- Prepares ad hoc reporting for leadership meetings, presentations, etc. as requested.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Alteryx for data collection, cleansing, integration and automation.
- Advanced knowledge of dashboard and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel.
- Working knowledge of Smartsheet through a project management lens.
- Working knowledge of python
- Demonstrated time series and predictive analytics experience to utilize historical data to forecast future trends and outcomes (working with development project milestone dates).
Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Data Analytics or Business Analytics
- Financial analyst, cost analyst and/or business intelligence experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Real Estate/Construction Cost Analytics

The expected salary range for this role is $75,700-$94,620 per year
