Department Overview
The Ronald McDonald House® Global Marketing and Communications team is responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s global marketing and communications strategies. Within that area of responsibility, the team oversees the Ronald McDonald House brand including compliance, consistency, positioning and communication across the entire Chapter system in 60+ countries and regions. The Marketing & Communications team creates the brand strategy and guidelines while serving as a brand consultant for the individual Chapters. In addition, the team executes Global tactics that support and increase awareness for the brand and the Ronald McDonald House mission. Global tactics include: planning, development and implementation across paid, owned and earned media; direct response marketing and fundraising efforts - including email and direct mail, digital and social media content and campaign creation; public relations; crisis communication; advertising; content management across the ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org website; and corporate marketing activation. The team also manages the interface between Ronald McDonald House and the McDonald’s Global/U.S. marketing and communications relationships to ensure continuity and promote co-brand building.
Duties
Ronald McDonald House has an immediate opening for a Communications Supervisor to develop and execute Communications priorities and insights-led strategies to build awareness, understanding and support for the Ronald McDonald House mission.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- In partnership with the Manager, Communications – develop and implement compelling PR and social media strategies, campaigns and content that align with the Ronald McDonald House brand strategy and increase visibility of the mission
- Support PR and earned media opportunities
- Oversee the Ronald McDonald House Global social media messaging and content approach based on insights and business priorities
- Develop annual social media goals and KPIs to evaluate the program’s success and recommended optimizations
- Oversee the social media reporting process by tracking posts on a monthly and campaign-specific basis
- Develop social media guidelines and resources
- Manage and execute on a strategic social media approach for the Ronald McDonald House leadership team
- Support McDonald's PR-related programs, storytelling opportunities and communications on co-branded campaigns
- Develop briefing materials, scripts, presentations and talking points for leadership engagements
- Support and research events, conferences and speaking engagements for leadership
- Provide support for Ronald McDonald House Chapters on communications related questions
Qualifications
- 3+years relevant communications expertise that includes external (stakeholder, social media, influencer, consumer) and nonprofit experience
- Agile and resilient to drive outcomes
- Natural storyteller with excellent written and oral communications skills, including an ability to convey complex issues in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently work collaboratively
- Self-starter with strong sense of initiative, focused on results; ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects
- Strong advisory skills with the ability to offer credible advice to senior leaders
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, while being flexible, collaborative and deadline-driven
- Energy and passion for the Ronald McDonald House mission

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $75,700.00 - $94,620.00 per year
